The Post Tree draws its name from the old milkwood post office tree at Mossel Bay, a landmark for early Portuguese sailors. While the range is rooted in the Swartland, this Shiraz is drawn from Robertson, a warm inland district in the Western Cape known for its lime-rich soils, hot days and cool river nights.

Shiraz thrives in Robertson’s heat, giving deeply coloured, full-fruited reds with a peppery, spicy lift. This bottling is made in a ripe, accessible style, the kind of everyday Shiraz that rewards easy drinking rather than long cellaring, and it carries the generous fruit you expect from a sun-soaked inland site.

This is the 2014 vintage, so the wine now carries close to a decade in bottle.
