Newton Johnson is one of South Africa’s benchmark Pinot Noir producers, a family estate in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley near Hermanus. Pinot is their passion, and even this, the most approachable red in the range, carries the estate’s careful, cool-climate signature and its feel for the valley.

The Walker Bay Pinot Noir is made from younger vines and sites on the lower and mid slopes of the valley, on porphyritic granite and Bokkeveld shale soils.
