Besserat de Bellefon has made Champagne in a deliberately gentle style since 1843. The house is known for a softer, creamier mousse, achieved by lowering the pressure in the bottle so the wine feels silky and caressing rather than sharply effervescent. It is one of Champagne’s more distinctive houses precisely because it does not chase power. The name nods to the abbeys and monks who helped shape Champagne’s early history.

The Cuvée des Moines Rosé is its non-vintage pink Champagne, a blend built across Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. Meunier plays a leading part in this style, giving supple, forward fruit. Rosé in this range is about freshness and red-fruit lift rather than weight, with just enough structure to keep it interesting.

As a non-vintage cuvée it is blended for consistency, the house style carried faithfully from bottle to bottle rather than tied to a single harvest.
